Alma

We're beginning to see why people love Brooklyn so much.

Alma offers good Mexican food (we had eggs cooked with jalapenos, for spice, and tortilla chips, for crunch, and mole-covered chicken enchiladas), elbow room, and amazing views of the East River docks and Lower Manhattan skyline.

In Spanish, alma means "soul." We mention this in part to show off our combined 20+ years of Spanish education. But we also want to get at just how restorative it can be to our, um, inner beings to leave one island and hang out in another.

you should see the view from there at night
We'll have to go back then (sound of arms being twisted). Welcome back, by the way, from the Heartland.
