Bareburger
With its focus on grass-fed beef and unusual meats (bison, elk, ostrich), Bareburger stakes out new territory in the New York burger landscape. We prefer grass-fed to corn-fed beef in any case, and this burger was very well-prepared, yielding a salty, juicy bite with a touch of char. The elk burger, though it doesn't hold together as well as ground beef does, had all of the rich gaminess we expected. Add to those a basket of crispy fries served with an array of dipping sauces and a strawberry shake, and you've got a pretty good Sunday lunch right there.
