Wolfgang Laib's Pollen from Hazelnut at MoMA

Wolfgang Laib, Pollen from Hazelnut, MoMA

On view at MoMA through March 11, Wolfgang Laib's Pollen from Hazelnut. Since the mid-1990s, this German artist has been harvesting pollen from his home in southern Germany, then creating works of meditative beauty that express the purity of nature. You might not think that a bunch of pollen, yellow as joy, strewn on the floor would be moving, but it is, somehow, if only because there's just so much buttery radiance. Just make sure to turn away if you have to sneeze.
