Victory Garden

Our friend Howard recently introduced us to Victory Garden, a newish shop in the West Village specializing in ice cream made from goat milk. We tend to avoid soft serve, but the chocolate with rosemary and the salted caramel we tried reminded us of the value of breaking a rule. And Howard's mastic salep, a pliably-textured pine explosion, won't be soon forgotten.
