2012 Poets House Showcase

Each summer Poets House in Battery Park City puts up a display of each and every book of poetry published that year in the United States. Daily we hear about another bookstore closing, another publisher fighting to survive, but this annual event simply celebrates what we have, offering no judgment, no lamentation, no critical evaluation about verse printed on felt or the future of X, just pure lyricism about an ancient form.   

The showcase closed yesterday, but Poets House offers events year round, including readings and workshops, as well as a 50,000-volume library, to which the works featured here will be added.
