Lan Sheng
Our happy journey through seemingly all of the Chongqing chickens, dan dan noodles and crystal shrimp dumplings in New York continued recently with a visit to Lan Sheng, one of several restaurants that have made the 30s near Fifth Avenue into a veritable Little Sichuan. Our standbys were as satisfying as always, and we also enjoyed the sliced chicken and vegetables in spicy Hunan sauce, even though the sauce was more umami-rich than fiery.
