The Hive at Moynihan

 

Hanging above the 31st Street entrance at Moynihan Train Hall (across the street from Penn Station) is "The Hive," by Elmgreen & Dragset.

Looking up, you're rewarded with the tops of the buildings — both real and imagined — that comprise this 1:100 scaled architectural model of a global metropolis. The work is surreal and disorienting and worth getting to the station a wee bit early to explore.
