Zoma

Before visiting the Studio Museum and Make My Cake on our recent day in Harlem, we stopped off for lunch at Zoma, a stylish Ethiopian restaurant two blocks from both Morningside Park and Central Park. We're big fans of Ethiopian food --- maybe we just like eating with our hands --- and Zoma didn't disappoint. We had the vegetarian combination, which came with gomen (collard greens in vegetable broth), atakilt wett (carrots, cabbage, potatoes, and onions), fassolia (green beans in a garlicky tomato sauce), and misir wett (lentils cooked in berbere). Our only regret was not ordering two.
