A meal that not only requires us to use our hands but also comes with edible plates? Yes, please.
We began our lunch at this Ethiopian place near Columbia with sambusas, similar to samosas, stuffed with potatoes, lentils, and --- surprise! --- cinnamon. As entrees, we each got combos, the best way to sample the many flavors of the region, including lentils and beef in spicy berbere sauce, pungent key sir alicha (beets and carrots), mild yatakilt alicha (cabbage and potatoes), and more cinnamon, this time with chickpeas, all mopped up with soury injera bread.
