While in India, we ate Indian exclusively, which meant massive breakfasts of idli, masala dosa, mirchi vada, uttapam, chana masala, and other savories we'd only ever seen served at lunch or dinner. As much as we relished them, back home we had a craving for eggs, chorizo, French toast, and donuts, aka breakfast a la the U S of A. Perhaps no other restaurant in the city does the first meal of the day so well as egg, the uber-popular restaurant in Williamsburg. We got there early to beat the masses, and we ate. And ate.
