Walkway Over the Hudson State Historic Park

An easy day trip from the city, Poughkeepsie doesn't have a whole lot going for it, except the world's longest elevated pedestrian bridge (it's even in the Guinness Book of World Records!). The so-called Walkway over the Hudson State Historic Park boasts great views as well as signs with fun facts and old photos. It's worth a stroll.
