A Compendium of Creatures at Poets House

Few archaic genres are as a worth of a resuscitation as the bestiary. Poet Mark Doty and painter Darren Waterston are doing their part with their new book A Swarm, A Flock, A Host, the subject of a charming exhibit at Poets House. Doty's evocative verses about life and death in the animal kingdom (especially where it interacts with humans) are presented next to prints of Waterston's magic-tinged silhouettes, reminding us of the endless fascinations of the natural world.
