Bing Wright at Paula Cooper Gallery

In some ways, the works by Bing Wright currently on view at Paula Cooper Gallery are as frigid and brittle as the temperature outside. After all, this exhibition features photographs taken through, or against, the prism of broken mirrors. Look long enough, though, and the cracks might transform into branches and the mirrors become windows. Too bad that same miracle of perception can't be enacted once you leave the gallery and return to the icy streets.
