Black & White Chocolate Chip Cookie from Levain Flatiron

 

Leave it to Levain Bakery to update the black-and-white cookie, a New York sweet-stitution. Like stratifications in geology, the layers here tell stories, of richness, of gooeyness, of the interplay of chips both chocolate and white. The cookie is part of the opening celebration around Levain's new Flatiron location. Of course, in the interest of research, we'll need to go back to the original location on the UWS followed by its Harlem outpost.
