Crookie from Janie’s Life-Changing Baked Goods

 

Janie Deegan began baking professionally in 2015 after struggling with addiction and homelessness. Since then, she's opened several bakeries around town --- and started a partnership with Pabade Bakery in which her chocolate chip cookie dough is folded into one of their croissants. According to Janie's Life-Changing Baked Goods, the official name is Half Baked Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Croissant, but everyone else calls such a hybrid a "crookie," admittedly more fun to say. Whatever you call it, the result is a rich, buttery, gooey treat that's guaranteed, at the very least, to change your waist size, if not your life.
