Culture of Creativity at Tiffany & Co.

To celebrate its newly redesigned, multistory flagship on Fifth Avenue, Tiffany & Co. is hosting a free art exhibit through May 20. Culture of Creativity features some 70 words by such artists as Jenny Holzer, Rashid Johnson, Jean-Michel Basquiat (multimedia collage, above), Julian Schnabel, Richard Price (cowboys, below), François-Xavier Lalanne (gold sheep), and Sarah Sze. Tickets are required

The space is bright and shiny, as are the works, by some of the most successful artists of the past 20 years. Once you've finished walking around the art, you can descend via a mirrored staircase through the retail emporium, from floors of private showrooms and ginormous jewels to sparkling tablescapes to cases worth the GDP of small countries to street level, whose displays offer pieces that might cost three figures instead of seven. Looking and fantasizing are, as ever, free.
